Carb cleaning advice!

Rowena Motors, don't be put off by the website, the guys know their business and are very good - they sell Zama, Walbro and Tillson kits at around 1/3rd cheaper than the OEM kits and the kits are the carb manufactures kits.

Soak it over night in WD40, wash it off in straight petrol, wash it off with carb cleaner, put it back together. Problem solvenized

Plenty of suggestions, ill give em a go! Got a few bits that need cleaning so will see what works best.

 

And cheers spud ill drop them a line! Do they sell other parts too? Need a few random gaskets as well

Looking at the picture the scale on that is really bad so I would recommend what the bike shop does, drop it in some brick acid (Travis Perkins sell it) till it fizzes then wash it in hot water really well before you start the normal cleaning procedure. Petrol caused it so soaking it in the same will not really clean it.

Would wheel acid not fix it? That's for use on stainless and alloy so might help? It really is baked on hard!

Voila! One shiny clean carb annoyingly ultrasonic cleaning fluid didn't shift the worse bits but wheel acid did and very quickly
