What wages do you guy think is fair for a groundsman /trainee climber

You can have all the college diplomas and nptc tickets on earth, with no experience your not worth ****.

 

You have been to college so basically you have learnt **** all about being an arborist.

when my boss that taught me to climb had to take tickets he spat a dummy after 15 years climbing after completeing his nptc he cut his face within 6 months ........

Too many people come out of college and think there going to get 100 a day,

 

60 a day employed is fine that's 300 a week take home every week of the year not a fortune bit is a steady wage.

 

My wife is a nurse specialist with a degree and 20 years service and gets the equivalent of 80 a day or 400 a week! !!!

 

A lot of people need a reality check.

 

To most people wr are just people that cut bits off trees. ....undervalued yes but thats life.

But he is a good groundy keeps my ropes tended and knows all knots and rigging and when he climbs he will get £100. So I think you have been more than fair with him...I would have told him to go and have fun being a street sweeper wile showing my middle finger.... These young lads won't the cash but don't wont to graft for it

It cant be either or both. If he is on the books he is entitled to holiday pay and ppe paid for but gets less per day.

 

Self employed he gets none of this but tends to get a higher day rate.

I was merely asking what a sweeper earns! We all know the difference between employed and self-employed!

We don't have street sweepers in this part of the world, infact we don't really have streets!
