Well for a start I'd avoid the 261, and the 362 for that too. There getting fewer good stihls available now tbh, but the 660 is a good 'un. Oh, hang on, that one's gone too now, errrrm, yeh, ok looks like its the 461, that's said to be a good saw. As for the other one's I guess you'll have to come into the light and get the orange ones mate:thumbup:

Ive got a 260 which needs a new piston, and a 261 im bedding in with the lil 150. 201 no problem with and the 009 as back up.there are still so companies selling the 660 out there👍

A good saw, an average saw, 2 dustbin jobs, and I never got my 009 running, mikercike now has most of the parts from it

Thought you had a 660 for a moment

Mr Stoner please dont swear at me, at this time of night(560) lol. Yeah the 260'is getting shipped off to be redone this week and id want the 660 but a truck is calling

They say 'don't knock it till you try it', I've tried all the saws listed in this thread so far other than the ms362 and the 009, I recommend if you get the chance, try one of these new 5 series huskys, they really do go!

:thumbup1: Yes, they are rather heavy and bulky 1. generation "strato" saws, and on top of that the handling is adversely affected by the inboard clutch design! Slow trigger response as well.

Those saws simply are a total turn off - and I actually like the 361....:001_rolleyes:
