Maintaining Statutory Views

This is the view across the City of London from kite hill on Hampstead Heath.

The panorama is to be maintained for the viewing publics pleasure, so although not the most ideal time of the year, here we are 10 years on from the last reduction doing it again :001_smile:

Canary Warf to the left, Natwest and Gherkin centre stage & St Pauls floating around the rhs.

As you can see I had the most technical and important job to carry out from a most uncomfortable vantage point........

And ftr, that is my winter plumage I'm still sporting, and a low camera angle to boot :sneaky2:

Oh yeah musn't forget, NuttyArb did alright up in the Tree aswell.

I've broken into a cold sweat; used to do piggyback shuttle runs up and down that bloody hill! Parliament Hill Fields and environs hold horrible memories... Always admired the view though!

Nice place to work. Is the cafe still there for you next to the lido? Is the lido still there?

Lido's still going strong as are the 3 swimming ponds.

Cafe is not there anymore

But there is one next to the Bandstand :001_smile:

Did you go to the local school where the games master took great joy in sending the troops t'up hill then?
