Climbing Spikes, What to buy?

Hi, Im looking at upgrading my Buckingham spikes. They're ok for short periods but when I'm in them for a while I find them very uncomfortable.

 

I'm thinking of getting alloy Bashlins with Velcro straps. Are they any good? Any suggestions would be much appreciated

you'll probably get 10 other replies all saying other things but...

 

My bashlins are with the leather pads and straps and someone else i know hated their velco set up and so changed them to leather.

 

Where possible try them on before you buy.

I`ve got the Stein x2`s, and find them comfortable over long periods.Velcro tops and buckle ankle straps.Lightweight, they dont feel cumbersome or unwieldy at at all.The components are all replaceable. Not tried Bashlins so couldnt compare.

Get gekos velcro top great spikes. I had a set of stein ones and was glad when I had em nicked .....horrible things they were.
