Cheap chainsaws

A very friendly man ( with irish accent ) in a newish white transit stopped my missus yesterday in my work sign written truck and offered her cheap chainsaws. Cheaper than you could buy anywhere apparently. My missus unfortunately didn't get the number plate.

This was in Fressingfield suffolk.

Funnily enough about a year ago an Irishman called at our door saying he was on the way home from a trade show and offered us a top quality Stihl chainsaw for £100. Reported incident to police who checked it out and found him to be legit! Had correct paperwork and all. Should have taken a punt but why was he selling ridiculously cheap and making it look like stolen goods. Very strange

Funnily enough about a year ago an Irishman called at our door saying he was on the way home from a trade show and offered us a top quality Stihl chainsaw for £100. Reported incident to police who checked it out and found him to be legit! Had correct paperwork and all. Should have taken a punt but why was he selling ridiculously cheap and making it look like stolen goods. Very strange

 

He managed to blag the cops, the "on the way back from a trade show" is the standard line for fake or hookey goods your money would probably have bought you a nasty Chinese built saw worth about 35 quid with a fake badge on it.

Probably because he was hawking Chinese copies.
