Erm. No its not really cost effective as the 200 rear handle is like rocking horse poo.

The rear handle is part of the carb housing so it would be removed, the air filter is different, the throttle assembly is different. So is the off switch.

To be fair if you had the complete handle assembly it would swap over, but then having the assembly and buying it from a dealer are two different things.

Would probably work out cheaper with time and effort to just buy a 201 rear handle.

Oh and the tank housing is different. Not the fuel tank but the housing, and the fuel tank is part of the housing.

Fuel tanks are the same.

Whats the difference between them as they have different part numbers? I once repaired a tank on a rear handle because the dealer said one for the 200 would be on back order but had a 200t tank on the shelf but wouldnt fit.

Well blow me, on the parts diagrams there I so difference. Just the rear handle assembly. And the of switch is in a different place.

Otherwise there the same guts.

It was just an idea, I'm currently using a MS150 with standard bar/chain for carving but have access to a MS200T that I could convert as long as I can still put it back again. As the 200 appears to be the carvers choice I wanted to try one but TBH I'm getting on well with my 150
