I was just thinking about botching it to use today. I am mean but not so tight not to spend the price of a new grommet :laugh1:

Worth buying a selection box, a few quid on ebay, for when the need arises. Don't you always find that everywhere is shut when you need it now. Job stops for an item that retails at twenty pence:sneaky2:

Where in devon are you?

Toolstation sell the small mixed box of grommets and are open today likewise screwfix.

Ive got some I believe but will prob cost you more in fuel to get one than what you will waste lol.

I have moved onto some chain maintenance now as it's lashing down outside. Good to know Toolstation do the boxes of grommets as always ordering from them.

Anyway you can wrap insulation tape around it and push/wedge it back in to atleast help restrict it?

 

The rain eased a bit the chains are sharpened so tried a bit of insulation tape and it's worked a treat. Been out and had a bramble massacre :biggrin:
