Anyone climb with this variation on the hitchclimber system?

yeah used it abit but bit bit clunky and moves around little bit too. i used to have a extendable bridge and in my opinion that was far superior and not as clunky and fast to setup. but now i just climb as normal i find it faster by the time you messed about changing it and then changing it back you be there already. aslways to to try stuff out tho good luck

[Trees-]

good for bigger trees, with large limbwalks and long ascents. no point in anything smaller as it just gets too fiddly.

I climb with a bulldog OAR and use a modified O rig for ascents on big trees. I have done away with the wee prussic 'joiner' and just use a sling on my second bridge ring. It does mean you have to take weight off the rope to swap over but it is an effort saver on the ascents so I find it's worth it.

As mentioned before, on smaller trees it wont get used.

I finally got to try this system today on the Help the Hero's tree at the show, fantastic and simple, puts the position of the rope tail in the correct place, for me being tall, and a lot easier. Picked up a stein cut away as the back prussik link and will try it myself this week :-)
