What do you need to cut? What sort of size you after forestry mower or grass topper maybe a bank tractor with flail

Try George browns ltd at Leighton buzzard, they hire Kubota tractors & flails. If its rough terrain, call PR Newsons ltd on 01763 - 274922 & ask for Phil Newson. They have an Aebi with a front mounted 2.4m heavy duty flail. Matt

Sorry I should have been more specific I need a hedge cutting flail not a ground flail. I've got about half a mile of hawthorn about 7ft tall I need to nock out in minimum time

Do you need to remove completely or to 7ft?

Best bet by far. Just brass plate it- farmers are subsidised by the state, so take advantage of their cheap rates for the the Saturday boy and the tractor. Hedgecutting season has just opened up so the flails should all be going on soon.

how old is hedge sorry to hijack thread but if young hedge eg 15 years how about laying it will thicken it up good and should be able to get a grant to lay it.
