Hello folks

Has anyone used yellow heart lumber.

I bought a load of beams and never looked closely

and have found when I started milling them they are

yellow heart. Oh god it was so so hard. but got it milled.

Has anyone any ideas of what to use it for.

Have 8" square and 8' long and other lenghts.

Its fab timber.

Had some abandoned by a reclaim merchant, he gave use permission to take it as it was knackered for reuse. Went and spent a couple of weekends cutting it. It is, without doubt, the hardest wood I have ever come across.

Took 4 chains and still had to spend ages sharpening.
