Google Adwords will get you to the top quickest. You can use ad extensions too, to expand your ad.

The ad above Bartletts' is Adwords... Costs some money but near enough instant. The one below is a regular listing... Free but takes time to get it top.

tagging / naming your pages correctly, good script, meta details and search terms, search engine optimisiation

& the list goes on and on

Q why dont you use your .co.uk url as an email ? you have a yahoo email when you have your own , seems bizarre

An email address with the same domain as your website looks far more professional IMO. All my mail comes to my btinternet email but I will set up domain emails for each of my different sites and just redirect them to the bt one

Honestly, that is nothing to worry about. I once had around 150 clicks in one day. Google only charged me for 8 that day. Google are bright enough not to let their customers get abused by muppets.

As Yorkshire man said it is a combination of things. The first thing to do is make your code search engine friendly. I notice your "meta description" tag is on the long side at over 350 characters, Google cuts off the descriptions at about 150 characters. Also I noticed there is no "meta keywords tag" which some people argue is useless but it works for me. You also only have an "h1" tag and no "h2" and "h3" tags giving the page very little structure to the Google spiders which will crawl your site. If all of that has gone over your head speak to your web designer as they are all easy fixes.

After that its all about back links nowadays, that is links back to your website from other websites just like you did in the initial question. Relevant backlinks are the best but face book, google plus, yell, gumtree (at a cost) and others can provide quality backlinks. Hope this gives you a starting point.

A starting point would be to google SEO Search engine optimization and make sure you get your head around it. Spending money to make your website more SEO friendly is key as i think its 3% before google penalize you these days. So basically saying tree surgeon, tree killing, trees topped. You'll be penalized for using tress too much.

Meta tags are kind of out dated but still worth doing if you have the time. Social media linking especially twitter is a good way to get up google searches because its constantly in the loop of everything thats going on. Facebooks much harder work but will still pay off if you have the time to get into the 1000's.

Oh and kind of like twitter but i hate having too do it is Blogging. Dull and hard to keep the SEO % down so can take an hour to write 500 words.

Hope this helps.

Oh use free tools to check your site like key word density checker.
