Protos Integral Forest Headset - Honey Brothers Ltd

Need a new skid lid and after anyone who has used one for some info ?.

They are comfy but they are like a firemans hat far to big IMO for climbing unless you want to be rescued from the tree when you get your head stuck lol . I would recomended them for ground work forestry though :) . Kask for me plasma pl all the way unless I was rich enough to have one for chipping

Personally, I'm keen on the idea and premise, not the execution. They're a bit cheap quality wise to me, and with a retail of around 180, they aren't getting my money. The shell seems massive compared to other lids on the market.

The ear defenders are a bit pants, streamlined to fit inside the shell, are lacking in noise reduction IME. Obviously they are rated to en standard but still not quite hitting the spot. I am used to chipper muffs though, probably makes a difference.

And they're only available in garish colours

Still can't beat a Petzl Vertex and the most recent version is a winner, its simple and comfy. The Kask aka stein is comfy, Kask are better at making pro cycling helmets not industrial lids for daily use.

Andrew t, you obviously have not worn one at work.

The helmet dimensions are smaller than a Petzl set because the Petzl has everything hanging off the side of it.

It doesn't snag on branches and has better air flow so your head will be cooler.

Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!

Don't were a petzl I have tried one on but don't like the fit . I'm a stein hat wearer and will stay that way until something better comes along could be a while . Ps I do like the protos as a ground hat if you could get it with plain styling :) also fair play I haven't used it up a tree but to look at it all seems wrong for climbing .
