computer help please

i am with business broadband, my email inbox is over capacity. i have deleted nearly everything, but a friend told me the server will be full:confused1:how do i delete these? also how do i bookmark the new toolbar address from bt as they are changing something on the 7th march. when i go into bookmarks i need a password, i have never set this up. help appreciated:001_smile:

you need to log into your email online. i assume you are downloading it through outlook express or something? go to the homepage of your service provider and log in there with your username and password and delete the emails from there. all you're doing on outlook is removing them from your computer

is my username my email address? it isnt recognising it.

Stevie - in Outlook... Click on tools, and then accounts.. then click on properties, and then click the advanced tab.

 

At the bottom of the tab there is a section where it says 'Leave a copy of messages on the server' - make sure the check box next to it is not active, as in make sure it's empty. If it's currently ticked, untick it and then click on apply, and then OK.

Then close all windows and get back to the main outlook screen and click on send/recieve - should clear up messages on the server for you.

found tools, but couldnt fing accounts, so still stuck:confused1:

You must be on vista?

Try tools, account settings, then click change, then more settings, then advanced. then uncheck leave a copy of messages on server:001_smile:
