where was pic taken? and does it go all way down to base?

North America and yes they do go all the way to the ground.

Not Fake Plastic trees or Telephone masts.

These trees are real, but there's a story to them, clue? they are from the same region as Thuja plicata (Western Red Cedar).

Anymore guesses?

Has the bark been harvested?

After Tims last post i'm thinking the same thing, Thujas can regenerate if you turn em into sticks.

No Tony, but your on the right track - this is not the species typical shape.

They are 100-120ft tall.

The ability to regenerate is a big clue.

Italian Cypress was good guess.

Sequoia sempervirens ?

Could be, maybe a crew stripped them out and chiped the brash, and another crew was/is supposed to go back and crane the timber???

2 fury poles, i take it they were stripped for being too close to the power lines, and now regenerated.

The powerlines are on the otherside of the street, it just looks like they're close.

'regenerated' is the big clue as to the species.

They were de-limbed but not for being too close to the powerlines.

they had a climbing comp there once and they thought it would be easier than finding and transporting 2 poles:001_tongue:
