Radio Enabled Ear Protection - Country File

I recently snapped my radio ear defs. I was given them as a present from America along time ago - great for stump grinding etc.

I saw the ones the carvers were wearing on Country File and they looked a lot more Gucci and up to date than mine!

Anyone know what make they are? Or any recommendations for a new pair?

( hopefully not Stihl - I wouldn't pass their rigorous selection process to purchase their gear!)

Not the communication system...... But the Radio muffs are what I am after.

Any experience of MSA?

The old type MSA ones were great, the new style ones (like in the current Husky catalogue) aren't half as robust or as comfy.

For the money, the ones that Lidl have occasionally aren't bad at all - they just don't like getting wet and the battery covers are prone to falling off and getting lost.

I have a set of msa sordin ones on just a headband I wear for hedge cutting which I got online about 18 months ago , pretty good sound protection but radio not very loud .

I also have the orange husky ones fitted on my petzl vent helmet , loud and good radio signal but not very good sound protection and easily get knocked off the mounts.

Those orange husky ones are MSA ones - just the new style. I'm a bit disappointed with mine really, though I'd rather have them than none at all.

The radio ear muffs from lidl take a lot of beating. A league above my previous husky ones. They are available from lidl as and when, with them next on offer from this coming thursday at £ 24.99. Dont be put off by the price, they are very good. They sell out very quick, so dont wait till the weekend.
