Anyon else watching the d day stuff on telly tonight.

 

I'm stuck on channel five watching the d day ultimate conflict. It's very interesting. I knew some stuff from it all from previous programmes, but I've just found out a load more.

It's how they get the exact time from the pictures I found fascinating.

I think they are finding out more now than they did nearly 60years ago about what really happened, amazing history and respect to any body who was there , went to the cemetery's in Normandy a few years ago and its a humbling experience to see all the graves from both sides who died in the conflict that happened there.

Must of been pretty grim for those five blokes in that mini-sub, I've not been to the cemeteries around there but have been to several in Belgium and some in the north east of France...very humbling.

It's on again tonight. A catch up of today.

 

It was interesting and I even managed to get the kids to sit down with it last night. They learned a lot. One didn't even know what ww2 was. "Havnt learned about that in school" he said...... WTF.
