110 Tipper

I've got a 1996 110 Station Wagon. I'm thinking of getting it converted into either a double cab tipper or a truck cab tipper. Has anyone done this who can offer some advice ? Also what's your opinion on doing this ? Is it a waste of a good station wagon, is a 110 just that bit too small and so would be worth trading in for a 130 tipper ?

Cheers,

Al.

I converted a CSW into a kingcab with a small Hi Cap Tub,it was all fairly straight forward,so a direct change should be easy enough if your good with the spanners - also worked out cost neutral after flogging the removed bits on Ebay - apart from all the time spent that is!

You can pick up all of the bits on ebay or breakers - think meccano, then had to go down to the local DVLA office with a couple of snaps to change the body type on the registration document.

Cheers for the advice guys. Spoke with the guys at Exmod and they reckon it wouldn't be worth it because of of the chassis weight allowance. Plus the 110 is worth more as a SW. They said trade it in and go for a 130. I don't want to get rid of her though. I think I might just go for the double cab pick up option minus the tipper. Like you guys said its an easy bolt off, bolt on change.

this is why I would just change trucks

you'd get more for your SW than say a hicap wouldn't have to spend time sourcing parts or carrying out the work for the swap.

If you don't want to sell it, just buy another, go on you now you want to.
