Hi I've bought a Alpina star 45 strimmer and its in Essex and I live in Yorkshire. Its a treck to get it and someone at work said use nightfreight. I phoned them and they said one off deliveries are no good to us. SO, everyone name delivery companies you rate and I'll be greatful. Thanks. Luke

I have an account with city link. Send around 50-75 items a week. Never let me down

Just had issues with them not picking up or delivering at the correct address twice in the last week. This was at domestic properties.

Parcel Monkey, iPost, Myparceldelivery - all middle men brokers but that way you get better prices - it must be dry of fuel and boxed well - even then many are sniffy about engines, saws etc!

Check the prohibitive items before booking!

Is alpina stuff anygood?

They make a load of cheap chainsaws also, chinese made italian brand I think?

Alpina were good stuff ( strimmerwise, never used anything else by them ) but they have discontinued the top of the range of their heavy duty line and replaced it with what I would describe as 2nd rate compared to what always was. I think its an austerity measure. So I have bought a Alpina star 45d strimmer, whilst I still can get one. I have bought it because most other strimmers I've used are either rubbish or just don't sit right. Can't stand stihl strimmers. If I had to depend on stihl strimmers I'd probably get put on something else, or be given the push.

Thank you for the replies so far. It looks around £30 to get it to my house. Smiley face
