sycamore removal and sugihara bars

removed a medium sized twin stemmed sycamore with a pretty nice inclusion at the base yesterday,

speed lined most of the brash out over the understory of small trees and rhody down to the chipper 40-45m away. took the speedline up the tree with me and tied it off where needed and moved it with me, it was tensioned through 2 pulleys and attached to the truck. kept it simple by taking 7 slings and krabs, and getting the guys to tie them back onto my line

knocked the timber down in 6ft lumps and cleared a space to get the loader in to shift it out, took 3 nice lengths to RobD mill and the rest of the timber went for firewood

picked up 2 sugihara bars from chainsaw bars, very impressed with the quality, and in particular the stiffness of the 3ft bar on the 660. il definitely be getting some of the light weight sugihara bars for my o2os in the future
