Awesome bit of kit will save your elbows if you use it when cracking stepcuts off instead of rocking them til they break off.

It gives real confidence whe felling polls out which have slightly the wrong lean.

I put a bit of cord through the hole in the top and then use a snap gate, was pondering weather to create a lanyard so you can use it without unclipping it off your harness.

No need for step cuts mate when choggin if you just carry a little wedge on your harness or cut 3 quaters threw pull saw out then cut down at 45 degrees boom log is free to push off.

Yes, know what you mean, i only use the leaver on chogging down when ddoing big lumps were you just need to hear the crack so you can slide the lump off. :)

Used the 45% cut a few times and it works. Will try it more now u mentioned it will see how i get on

I bought one back in 2007 it hardly ever gets used, I usually just cut right through using a wedge to stop the saw getting pinch. Or cut out a small low profile wedge kinda like a thin gob not worrying about accuracy then do a step cut having that small wedge removed help to crack the step much easier so less strain on the old elbows.

Big top get a pull rope on....

Chogging down... no need for a wedge shove a bit of bark or a bit of a twig in to stop it sitting down :thumbup1:
