what 4x4 tipper truck?

alright guys

 

New to this forum, figured this would make a good as any first post

 

Im after a tipper pick up style truck, budget under 4800, ideally 4x4 but would settle for 2x4 if I had to, ideally dropside, chip box doesnt matter as I can always put one on. dont want to go the transit route.

 

What would you guys recommend? and does anyone here have something suitable for sale?

 

torn between the mitsubishi l200, ranger and brava, if anyone has any helpful info about either or something Ive missed out i'd appreciate it

Landy? Will carry more than any of the others, easier to convert, better off road, cheaper parts etc...

that was a consideration but fuel consumption made me consider the others,, will be used on road more than off road to be fair. But want the option of 4x4 due to nature of the trade

My old 200tdi gets 30-35mpg usually, so about the same as anything else! But if it will be used mostly on road comfort might be an issue...

How about a hilux or l200 etc with a pro tipper?

after many searches I think im going to go with a l200, although i know of a mazda b2500 tipper, anyone got any advise on that? if its any good?

I have a 130 defender and a l200, both with tippers. Ironically, the l200 is for sale but was looking for a bit more than your budget.

The l200 is a great truck, never had a problem with it and would recommend it. The only reason I'm changing it is need space for kids so have got a 130 double cab.

I have a j reg hilux tipper what a machine she is she ways starts and will tip anything but she has a 2.4 non turbo engine and is gutless it realy does not pull well but I am looking to upgrade at some point what sort of money are you lookin for for your l200 tipper pm me if you that's ok

It's advertised on arb trader but any questions give me a shout. It's the white one with winch and high sides. There is some leeway on the asking price - in no rush to sell and would be happy to arrange for it to be at the arb show if interested?
