My non-chainsaw work boots are the Haix Airpower X11 Mid:

Airpower X11 mid, Robust, easy to use and comfortable - S3-boot for any personal protective equipment area - HAIX.COM

I adore them!

They've currently lasted almost 3 times longer that the usual 'cheapo' DIY shop boots I use to buy, and there's no sign of them failing yet.

Light, comfortable, not too hot, not too cool; I highly recommend them.

I go to a cheap shoe shop and just buy a pair of crappy steel toe caps. Last about 7 months to a year. For 20 quid. I wear them in the workshop aswell. Don't really want oil, grease, fuel and what not all over my nice arb boots.

I wear ankle high steel toe-caps all day every day. After many years of wearing arb boots I could take no more torture!
