Hi

Will be logging up there next month and will be looking for some buyers before I go

Have spoken to some people and the problem is they only want to buy it in timber 2.5 meter length by the tone not processed firewood

I wont get much money for it selling it unprocessed and I know its a lot of work processing it but I want to make a job out of it while Im there

Anyone have any contacts of people in the area that will buy it as ready firewood

Thanks

JT

Wait till its cold, stick a sign out on the road, advertise in local parish magazines. Very few buyers of ready to burn logs at this time of year, get your timber processed up and store it.

how much are you asking per tonne processed

Not selling it by the tone selling it by the cube

I though 45 quid a cube by the wagon load sounds a fair price

Only asking as i have freinds who might be interested over there.

Are they wood dealers or want some fire wood to burn?

I dont live anywhere near there mate

Just want it sold when I leave so best to sell to a dealer who will hold onto it until next season

selling at that price per cube is rediculous in my mind. and i am sure locals who you where seriously under cutting may be offended as well.

heck, i would even wanna cut and process for that kinda dough. down south here a bag make 65+.

make sure you get a decent saw too as logging up can take a toll, especially on hard woods.

Big B

Im talking about wholesale prices

And the dealers wont even pay that, they want it for next to nowt processed or unprocessed and they are prepered to do the work them selfs just to get it for nothing

There paying a 1000 pound for an artic load of timber
