The 550 is a bit like that too, if it's sat ticking over and then you pick it up it ca splutter a bit when you first blip it. Take the spark arrestor out as soon as you get it and it will about cure it.

 

i love the 550xpg a big step up from the 42 i was using:thumbup:

Really ..... I read you have had problems and so has hodge , personally I think you just got the first lot that were a crap batch.

 

itis a 2012 its 9 months old i think they came out in 2011

send it back if you use it you will eventually go to a dealer with it to be fixed , its like the stihl 201t not really up to it the people who get no probs re not working them hard enough simple as .

hi the saw shop is only 500 yards away from this job thank the lord , the old ms 440 was pressed into action today haha , the last time i through a saw i snapped the chain brake off bugger lol
