far far better. Starts hot / cold, ticks over, cuts well revvs well now its run in,

Pleased so far :).

Hasn't stalled once :),.

Much simplier and in my eyes much easier to maintain and easier to work on.

Hi there, new to this site, came on to it as I have just bought a 560xp from F R Jones and son, agree with comments so far in that great saw when it is working but what a bitch to start when hot and yes it cuts out etc. Also runs on half revs when it should be running on idle. My mate bought one from a local dealer and he has had exactly the same problems, we are running them on Aspen so no issues with fuel etc and I have run an old Stihl MS260 on the same Aspen with no issues. So I called F R Jones this morning, these guys seem to really know what they are talking about and offer great customer service. They said that it needs to be fitted with a new hot start kit which includes new fuel lines etc and then be retuned by plugging back in to the laptop. They are picking it up tomorrow via their courier at their expense and I assume will post back out to me when all sorted so will update you then. Really pleased with their service and mine was over £100 cheaper than what my mate paid locally:001_tt2: I will update this when I get it back and have had the opportunity to run it.

Mine had,

New air filter

New air filter housing

New plug

New pull start

Program update

Then....

It still didn't work so had all new electric parts.

And a program reset...

Still wouldn't run sweet so got refund and got a 362.

So far its done more work and hasn't missed a beat.

Not what you want to hear when you have just bought a 560.

Yes it was awesome when running but to unreliable for me sorry.

Going back twice on two months on a so called pro £600 saw in my mind is not acceptable.it shud work hard day in day out for years.

Its a shame as I really did want to love that saw.

Josh.

Hi Josh, totally agree, I had previously only had Stihl saws but was swayed to the 560 by a friend who had just got one, I can only do the same as you, have a hard session with it when I get it back and if it fails again it will go back for good and like you I will probably get the 362. Just out of interest how do you think this compares with the 560, cheers Andy
