id say turn the cassette slowly and find where it hits, you should find the point of resistance then you can see what the problem is, when i adjusted my anvil is was a tad too close so it would catch on the blades as they went round, lifted the anvil back out slightly and it was fine and has chipped fine since.

Hello,

We had this happen twice to us and each time G.M replaced the entire cassette.

I found G.M to be both sympathetic and reactive to our problem and we live in another country!

thanks

so roughly what gap did you end up with?

what get's me is the massive difference between the 2 blades.... will take blades of tomorrow and check the sizes and post pics.

the closest of my blades seem to be about 1mm but it still scuffs a little on cassette.

hi mate, was it still under warranty?

January this year on the second day i used it. All good now except i sent the blades off for sharpening to a well known machine knife company who ignored me telling them that they're 27 degrees and sharpened them to 30 degrees so when i refitted them it wouldn't chip despite being sharp enough to shave with:thumbdown:

Other than that a great machine, fantastic piece of kit for the money.
