I have recently been asked if I know of any English walnut that's available so thought a quick post on here was worth a shot.

 

I'm based in Dorset but for the right log at the right price can travel.

 

Any leads would be much appriciated.

Do you particularly want it in the round, or is fully seasoned board of any use? I know of some which may become available.

Where in dorset are you?, I do have a little bit in the round not milled been down about 2 years, also have large amount of yew milled 4 years planked ready for sale if you are interested

I have a customer with a large trunk of walnut for sale.

 

DO you want me to make enquiries as to how much etc? I know they had two people who wanted it but neither of them actually paid up so its still sitting there. Easy access for a large vehicle, but it is large, probably 4000kgs ish.

 

I'll be over that way later in the week so I can get photos.

 

It blew down early last year by the way.

Oh, I doubt they want much for it, they just want it gone really but I know they had agreed a price twice before and then not got it. I'll ask.
