Petrol or diesel

Hi guys

New here, so first post and thread. I recently moved to NZ a couple of years ago from the UK (somerset) and am in the process of starting a business all over again.

I have the option of buying a bearcat 27 HP kubota 6"diesel or bandit 38 HP kohler petrol roughly the same money new. It has to be a 6" machine as thats all i can stretch to.

As i understand it the bandit is better made but the bearcat has the diesel engine.

Your thoughts please:confused.

Theres no higher govt tax on the fuel because of all the agricultural machinery that runs on diesel. You pay a road users charge on the diesel vehical by buying miles relating to your odometer. The amount of kms you have bought is displayed in your windscreen. Eg ticket displayed max distance 130000 Odometer reading 120000 you have 10000 kms untill you have to buy and display new road users ticket. So all deisel is sold as if it was like red in the uk, and you pay on your road travling vehical. so chipper fuel would be cheaper yes.
