For same price as a 135 I got a MF 550 which is newer but not a collectors item. That said I would rather have my old 4 WD Jinma instead which was far more useful around the farm.

Cheers John. Don't have enough work for a tractor if I'm honest. Do see myself putting the axe down and using a splitter soon and kids keen to get dirty fixing one up. As long as spares available I'll consider anything.

Compared to mine that 550 is in mint condition. Would like to know what the extra levers are on the far side of the cab below the seat as there not fitted to mine.

It looks like its got external hydraulic spool valves, rather than just the single tapping off the top cover and using the lever on the quadrant to operate it.

"tractor and machinery" magazine always has loads in the classifieds.

You've missed the Tractor World auction at Malvern this year (1st week in March) Here's the link to the results page which will give you an idea of how much money things went for. the tractors are near the end.

I bought a 1958 MF65 there 4 years ago for £1950 it ran faultlessly and i sold it last year for £2250. If you pick up a tidyish one (not concours) it can be a reasonable investment as well as useful tool.
