If you've been using the tachyon for a while it like must ropes fluffs up, the new rope still has a tight weave. So I would say that the poison ivy after a while with not feel thinner hat the tachyon.

Poison Ivy fluffs up pretty good once its had a bit of wear.

 

Mine felt mega skinny, been running a HC on it for bout 6 months, and it has fluffed up like a gooden :P!
