Looking good so far, is there mottling in that grain ? If so that should look great when its done

Well todays the first day I've had to be able to get back on it, and what a mistake I've made lol.

 

Using an old jigsaw I went to cut the rest out an half it. The bloody thing didnt/wouldnt cut straight so ive started again. This time using a hand saw.

Now ive got two pieces ready to shape 😥.

So hows yours getting on bud? Ive got three on the go but holding fire til i get a decent band saw or jigsaw before doing anything else

Just got a new jigsaw and blasted these out. Hope to start shaping them soon

I've just got my hands on some lovely Cherry. I'm keen to attempt some grips. Does anybody know if the wood needs seasoning first though?
