Thanks to slackbladder, who i met for the first time today, and gratefully showed me his turning and other pieces of fantastic work he also gave me some different wood for a handle.

So I've had a little whittle etc on some laburnum which had 3 different colour in. ImageUploadedByArbtalk1365880219.642984.jpg.da2399d58fb805edbfbc0ebfc34591cd.jpg

Next stage is to cut in half and start shaping it to my hand, then drill the holes for the nuts and inlay for the blade to sit in. Once im happy with this ill start on the walnut and other interesting pieces slackbladder gave me.

Many thanks
