Same farm , same handler.Farm manager fined in one case,Farmer fined in the other.

 

£6000 total fines yet a work platform costs less than a grand.

 

Personally I'm quite happy working from a rehandling bucket , but i'm the boss and not employed.

A cage for the telehandler costs even less.

 

I've worked from a telehandler before, cleanin grain stores. They are a good bit of kit.

 

But as treequip said, probably didn't want to get the handler scratched. :lol:

Either they didn't use the handler because they were fined before(H&S making things worse)

 

Or they did use the handler and erected the ladder after the accident(so as not to be fined for the same offence twice)

Its got a CE mark:lol:

 

Its not for hire or reward - own use only.

 

Makes no difference, if it lifts a person or over a person it's subject to LOLER.

 

HSE also have a position statement on proper cages in place of buckets on telehandlers and it's not encouraging.
