what size would you say is the smallest size in diameter you can buy logs before they become sticks

They are logs ......then as they get smaller they become intermediate size then kindling . I dunnow . Depends on your stove . 2" ??

HI STUBBY i went to day to some one who is 80 years plus and some log chap sold here logs that 1/2in die and far too long for her stove 18ins it takes the :thumbdown:mate jon

HI STUBBY im ok mate but when she told me that i was mad then inside that is not right that is lowest of the low to do that to some one 80 years old logs far too long for her stove and then the size 1/2ins die thanks jon

I was under the impression (correct me if im wrong) that people only bought logs and there was no market for sticks

Only kindling I have see sold is finely split pine

Do people buy intermediate sizes? and if so what is the price like compered to big logs

Some people want " grannie " logs for their small stoves .

I think HETAS say that under 3" is "branchwood" and a compliant load of logs should have less than 15% of it in. Must admit, I'm one of the ones who can't be bothered processing the stuff (folks protest "but it fills up the load!"). Tends to get chipped or given to friends and family.
