Green Laning 7th April

It may be open, as in not blocked, but there were signs at at least two road crossings advising of a voluntary closure. Be good to know if it is legit or not.

So many lanes have now been (illegally?) reclassified as "Restricted Byway" it would be a shame to lose another.

Just finding out if the VTRO (Voluntary Traffic Regulation Order) on the Ox drove is still in place. I think it was closed from first Oct to 31 March but my dad will be passing there possibly tomorrow night in the ambulance so will stop off n find out. I'm a member of the a couple of off roading forums and they are unsure as well. Usually Wilts CC puts up about VTROs on their site but there has been squat all winter.:001_huh:

Just had it confirmed they have expired. The signs are still up as the RoW dept havent taken them down yet. They are driveable but soggy in places but it has a good flint base along its length so it is just the surface mud which gets chewed up. And we never go off the beaten track unless getting over for bikers or fellow off roaders.

Excellent news, thanks for sharing! If I'd known that last week, I'd have driven it!

Just taken 2 and a half hours to jet wash and clean the 90 - it was plastered!!

Put some colour shine restorer polish on her to try and buff out those horrible scratches from the ox drove... mixed results if im honest. Will put a few more coats on tomorrow and see if that helps.

All in all a great day out, great weather too!!

Sorry about the scratchy bit mate. I was told it was flailed back at the A354 end but it blatantly wasnt. Fingers crossed the polish with get rid of the scratches. Was a cracking day though.
