Looking for joinery softwood off cuts in the south

If you have a local crate manufactur nearby as they should have loads and there normally just heat treated so should be fine to burn. Hope that helps

 

Thanks for that I think I have one just up the road and have in the past been to see them never gave it a thought this time round.

When I used to work in the crating we couldn't get rid of it during the summer and only used to take 10-20 notes for a big box. Sure if you ask them they would do a box to rough sizes you need

 

That should work well as our busiest time for kindling is in the summer.

All thoose long planks in second & third pics would cost loads to buy at the builders merchant how come they are unwanted offcuts?

 

Alot of that was liquidation. We get long lengths when its shaped like a banana, split down the middle, full of knots alot of which has fell out, weathered or mis machined. Very little is usable for construction. Because the economy has slowed up there is alot less about.
