Time waster

Had another treesurgeon phone me end of last week asking if he could hire myself, my tractor, chipper & trailer for a job he had local to me. Went through all the fine details price (etc). Have arranged to do the job tomorrow booked it in the diary, said he would phone tonight to confirm start time. Now here's where i get annoyed no call today so far,cant get an answer from both of his numbers would have been nice to know either way what is happening!!. Now i have to try and rearrange some work for me and my groundie to do in the morning......... ABSOLUTE TIMEWASTER:confused1:

Not looking on the black side, but you never know what may of happened to him.

Depends how determined you are.

 

A contract is a contract, verbal is as good as written. You obviously have phone records etc to verify such verbal converstions.:sneaky2:

 

 

 

At this point, are you absolutely sure its off?:confused1:

Why not? He has booked you for the day for which you have made yourself available so you have kept your part of the contract. His failure to organise his side of it is his problem. If the job has fallen through or been put off, it's up to him to organise alternative work.

well it will be no good ringing me in the morning and asking me "where i'm too" because have booked another job now!!

He pretty much agreed he would let me know by close of play today as it will take an hour in morn to get loaded and pick up tractor (etc) and travel up from yard, which I told him??

Pretty much? So, not definitely? Could very well be a thread later then; 'I booked somebody for the day tomorrow and they let me down'. You are best getting everything nailed down in future to avoid problems like this. :001_smile:
