Put a 500 in mine for same reason, top speed the same ( cos of diff s I reckon) but gets there much much faster, only have to come out of 5 th if its a real monster hill! Potter s got to be knocking on now? Not been up there for 5 years or so

He sold me the five speed box and bits to convert it over. Most five speed boxes are direct top so there is no advantage in having one over a four speed but there are a few fitted in coaches etc that are an overdrive top which is what potter got for me. That extra gear makes a hell of a difference.

I had heard the way to tell if it is o/d box it will have a bolt on the top? I ve got a spare box like that, if it s defo o/d will fit it
