upon closer inspection of the picture, looks like a bearing may of gone astray in the top roller assembely, judging by the odd angle of that feed roller :scared1::scared1:

Top roller is ment to be like that on a Jensen. Take the side panel of, undo the tension cable and the top roller will push up. It pivots one side and tensioned from the other unlike a timber wolf which is tensioned from both sides

Having already been wrong once:blushing: I'll have another go:001_smile:If the flywheel is stuck because the noggin is up against it then it won't start 'cos it may be direct drive through belts (like a TW), ie no clutch, free the noggin then try and start it.

I find a felling bar placed between the springs and pressure applied downward on the felling bar lifts the springs and thus the rollers sufficiently for someone to wiggle the piece of wood loose. We have done it a few times on our TW150. Who ever is on the felling bar has to make sure that it isnt slipping before the person in the feed hopper can remove the offending piece of wood. The same applies for if a piece of wood gets stuck in the slider rails and stops the rollers dropping to their lowest. Time to wait for HSE to knock on our door tomorrow morning no doubt.:blushing:

And yes we have done it on the Jensen as well.

What is all this talk of remove guards, remove springs, remove belts etc. Do you not just lift the top roller with a hydraulic cylinder or is that just us?:001_rolleyes:

Nope! That's just you......but then, it doesn't weigh over 2 ton either!:001_tt2:
