Hi there. Just wondering what there is out there? Whats good value for money and good saw. So far i can see a husky. Stihl an oregeon. Are they all on a par?

 

Wheres best place to get one? And which to go for. Cheers

Farmers weekly just reviewed Stihl, oregon, makita, bosch, husky, cutting telegraph poles,

Stihl battery twice life of rest, bosch best value for small saw. Only really useful for quick odd cuts like hedge-laying, fence posts or reductions with lot of climbing between cuts.

Went to visit Ben Laws woodland a few weeks ago.....he's using the sthil Saws with solar batteries for his coppiceing....seems very happy with them

the oregen has its own self sharpening and Forest and Arb winchester are doing them for £500 including spare battery ideal for up a tree or for hedgelaying or the like. last a couple of hours on a charge so with spare gets poss a days work from the two, battery's. and you can get a inverter to go in truck to charge them up for about £30
