Passed my trailer test :D

Had a quick look online and found out the penalties are as follows

"• 9 Penalty Points (3 For the missing Licence entitlement and 6 for no Insurance - owing to fact you are driving without a licence)

 

• A Maximum fine of approx. £5000"

 

Plus they will instantly seize your vehicle and trailer and impound it

Is it worth the risk? No in my opinion, the cost of training is far less than the penalties, your decision really though

Yeah with the sum of all that it would be worth doing the trailer test. I just cant belive how much money some of these people charge! I also belive DVLA should have brought in a test for everybody, not just new drivers passing their test after 1996 or what ever it is. As there are so many drivers who tow trailers/caravans who in my eyes are not intirely aware of their surroundings when towing.
