200t Oregon chain!

Hey up

I got a new chain for my 200t the other day from a local shop. When I put it on that evening I thought the teeth look a little short but my old was was shot so had nothing to compare too. Turned up at work today and compared with mates, the teeth are barely half the length, looks like you'd only get a few sharpens out of them! Is this normal?

The difference is that you have been using VXL and the new chain you have is VX. The L being long top plate.

Tbh I didn't think anyone still sold the VX since as you say they are about half the size!

Ah right, ta for that. It's a rip off isn't it, same price but half the chain!
