Bird id needed please

Being serious:001_rolleyes: if you want to attract these colourful birds to your garden, feed them Nyjer seed - God alone knows how they find it but they do!

Mendip Im not taking the mate I have never fed the birds in the garden to the extent I am at the moment and Im having to learn even the basics .

 

Mick Im zoomed right in on the camera and through a window paine so the shots arnt clear and my bins were nicked from the car last month so recon a new pair are in order or even a video camera set up outside so I can watch them on the telly.

pat why dont you put a proper goldfinch mix out for them it has lots of niger and other little grass seed - have a look at what we do in our shop

If you want to attract goldfinches, grow a plant called teasel, goldfinches also frequent larch in winter for the seeds
