to james hoody who did you go to for the finance on the chipper

I went to timberwolf finance they give you a good deal buying there gear new. I was dealing with a guy called marko he did my mates chipper aswell really nice to deal with. They would finance a truck also if you went down that route, as others have said be sensible with finance work out the figures to see if it makes sense first.

I was in your position about 4 years ago. Had a steady stream of my own work whilst still working for various other companies. Slowly keep buying more kit and getting more work until you can eventually support yourself with your own work. I now work completely for myself and brother and keep another chap in work aswell. Also using other climbers and ground staff when needed.

Dont be afraid of finance. We used to hire chippers regularly. Which used to cost pretty much £100 a day after fuel to collect/drop off and VAT. You would also work as hard as you can to get the most out of it in a day and then get it back in time. We bought a chipper nearly 2 years ago now on finance. We still price a chipper in as though it was hired in. We only have to use it 2 days a month and it pays its monthly bill. It goes out most days so brings in alot more than it costs each month. Brilliant for cash flow!

Always buy the best you can afford. Any vehicle works hard doing this job so make sure it is a good one to start with. If it breaks down and you are without it for a day you soon lose money!
