Just got the 06 plate, 40 000 miles and never worked, probably a chelsea tractor from new ... I've yet to put it to work but was impressed with the low ratio, very grunty ... I had heard probs about 5th or 6th gears on these, if they had 6 gears, touch wood I shall get a few years work out of it ... need some mud tyres now! Thanks for the replies, Janlogger

Love mine to bits, it an 07 plate with massive mud tyres, no problems until recently when it went in to limp mode one moening on the way to work, mechanic suggested that it could be the injectors, which unfortunatley are electronic and would have cost about £2000.00 but thankfully turned out to simply need a new fuel filter. The joys of a modern common rail engine?

Good luck with your in low range I find it really good in mud, but struggles with my plant trailer and Jensen track chipper.

Mines an 09 plate and did the same thing with the fuel filter... great for towing (very steady and feels like it could tow a lot more) and doesn't jump out of 5th gear?

I've got a Mazda B2500 (basically a Ranger, but better :001_tongue:). Been really impressed with mine and sad I'm having to sell her.

haha :sneaky2: it was the Mazda I wanted in the first place, couldn't find one for love nor money ... :confused1:

Seems to be a good tool, I've been using a 1.7td Astra van for years, 140 thou, I have ragged it, towing etc etc ... a great wagon but time to change, big ends, clutch, gearbox etc etc ... literally run into the ground!

We've got an L200 in work and was going to swap for a Ranger but the feedback i got was that towing was rubbish, especially off road. I think the new ones are meant to be better as has been mentioned but we're sticking with the L200.
