Poor man's pulley saver cambium saver

Made it just now using a fix cheek pulley and a mallion rapide, fix cheek rated at 12 kn and mallion rapide at 1750kg swl. Bit of New England hi vi, Marlow boa cord and a bit of innertube to protect the cord from the pulley. Mallion is that way up so it can be retrieved in cambium saver mode but not retrievable when chokered.

 

Just making sure it is ok to suspend my whole weight on the isc fixed cheek when chockerd ( rated at 12kn I.e 1200kg) as I've only seen pulley savers with pinto pulleys?

Yeah, it doesn't look an ideal match to me, like Geoff said. It would be better to have something between them like a mallion. I used to use a ring to ring saver with a pulley and mallion attached to the little ring, worked a treat but wasn't adjustable length.
