Depends what you mean by groundy. Is it someone passing time, itching for the glory of climbing, or a pro groundsman?

 

The first, I'd base it on what they can prove they're worth, the latter, thinking of this with someone in mind, I'd happily give 150 a day for what he can do, the knowledge he brings and the fluency of his work.

 

I can see others scoffing but imo a good groundsman is the keystone of a team and can be a lot of the time, more important than a good climber
