The chipper in question is a 6" hybrid chipper with an energy recovery system. whilst no product is going through the chipper an on board hydraulic pump captures the energy & stores it in the accumulator. During chipping the accumulator is equipped with an additional 35hp boost system, providing extra hp for 12 seconds. the 30hp chipper then becomes 65hp.

This is good in current times where emissions are forever tightening so smaller engines meet new tier 4 regs easier.

Wow, interesting.

I'm thinking about the 1390HD. Here in the states, where I live, it's getting hard to get rid of softwood trees. Looking to turn them into wood chip instead!

The 1390 is even more of an animal, there is alot of difference between the 12" & 13". The drum size goes from 24" to 37" & the opening goes from 13x17 to 16x19.5. Drum chippers are popular as the engines are far smaller than a disc chipper.

We have a 1390HD Track on order sold in Cheshire & very much looking forward to seeing it in action.
