Yea i have been selling part seasoned at around 25-30% since december, just explain to the customer what it is and tell them clearly its not fully seasoned and pretty much no one has turned it down. Only knocked £10 off my normal price and its flying out, had alot of repeat customers asking for it too.

 

Most folk will say thats the profit gone then!

tis funny the whole seasoned wood business.

some customers want the wood so dry that,5mins on the fire and woosh its gone!

others seem to prefer the slightly damper stuff im currently selling as they say its not any harder to get going, and once going you can shut the burner right down and the log will keep the fire in for hours? whilst still giving out plenty of heat.

personal preference it seems.

Why would you knock anything off? Your overheads are no different. :confused1:

 

I used to look at it this way. But people are either going to sit on it for a year or try and burn it green and not get much out of it. If its green you have not had money tied up in it long. Knock £10 off space in the yard, their money in your pocket less to borrow to buy your cord this year.
